Zombie Iron Man

This artwork is my take on the zombie version of Iron Man from Marvel’s What If…? series. What I like about the show, and what this drawing reflects, is the idea that even the smallest change in an event can completely rewrite a character’s story. A hero can become a villain, and the familiar can turn unsettling.

Bringing Iron Man into this darker version meant blending the recognizable armor with the grotesque details of decay—burning eyes, torn flesh, and a smile that is more haunting than heroic. The result is a reminder of how fragile identity can be, and how quickly perception shifts when the context changes.

For me, this piece is less about Iron Man himself and more about the theme of possibility: the endless “what ifs” that make both storytelling and art so compelling.
